Engineering & Technical

The REC Engineering & Technical Sector Group was created in March 2006 out of the former TEC (Technical, Engineering and Construction) Sector Group.

Following extensive consultation with members at the end of 2005 it was agreed that the old TEC Group was too broad and much of the focus at meetings was on construction issues. With so much currently happening in this sector there was a risk that this would continue and issues in the Engineering and Technical Sectors would not be adequately covered.

As a result, it was agreed that a separate sector group for Construction would be created and the old TEC Group would be renamed the Engineering & Technical Group.

Following consultation with Members it was agreed that the Engineering & Technical Group would be a Virtual Group.
