REC Drivers Member Charter
All Drivers Sector Group members adhere to a Charter, outlining their responsibility to temporary workers, and promoting better working conditions for drivers. They operate within five key principles:
- Better pay and hourly rates a fair market rate, promptly and efficiently
- Better guidance and support treatment with respect and dignity and always adhering to Codes of Practice
- Better job briefs full briefs from clients, and full briefs to the candidate, ensuring the assignment is right for both parties
- Better deal benefits, a forum for communication and a commitment to equal opportunities is key
- Better prospects maximising individual potential and offering assignments to encourage training and development

Government must listen to the Migration Advisory Committee to meet skills shortages
The REC welcomes the balanced report from the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) on shortage occupations. However as the economic picture changes rapidly the MAC will need to keep a sharp eye on labour market developments if its advice is going to remain up to date.
