Our sector group is made up of REC member agencies who deal primarily with the placement of nannies, au pairs, nursery staff and maternity nurses.
The REC has a strong voice in promoting our members' interests to Government and relevant bodies, through intense legal and lobbying campaigns and through the position it holds on the Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education.

Further confusion for recruiters as restrictions remain on Bulgarians and Romanians
The Government has decided to retain work restrictions on Bulgarians and Romanians. Only limited numbers of citizens from these countries will be allowed to be employed in the UK in the agricultural and food processing sectors. Higher skilled workers maybe able to obtain work permit to work in the UK through the points based system on the same basis as non-EU citizens.

Recruiters up to the challenge as jobless figures rise again, says REC
Kevin Green, the Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation has responded to today’s news that unemployment figures have risen again by 137,000 to 1.86 million.
